Abstract

The rounding of the scales was carried out in violation of the provisions of the Consumer Laws. This rounding of goods scales also occurs for customers who send goods to J&T Pamotan. The purpose of this research is to determine the practice of rounding scales that occurs at J&T Pamotan from the perspective of Islamic law. This research uses a type of field research. The data source was obtained from primary data sourced from documents on weighing goods at J&T Pamotan and also the results of interviews. Meanwhile, secondary data sources were obtained from books, journals, the Internet, KHES and others. Data collection techniques were obtained from interviews and observations. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques use data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the practice of rounding scales at J&T Pamotan often occurs and is detrimental to customers. Because the weight being weighed does not comply with the scale requirements and the customer must pay in full. This practice of rounding scales also violates the consumer protection law. Apart from that, rounding the scales is prohibited in Islam, because it violates the provisions of the practice of muamalah.
